This post is steamy!!! Giveaway!

Comments are closed, winner is posted here.

It's a little known fact that sewing is a steamy activity... Hot hot hot!

Of course I'm talking about ironing, what did you think I meant?

A few months ago I got a new iron, and I can't believe what a difference it makes to have a clean, reliable iron. A nice big water reservoir so you're not refilling constantly, a non-stick plate that just glides over the fabric, adjustable steam... Sounds great doesn't it? Want one for yourself?

Here's your chance! You can win THIS IRON, courtesy of CSNstores.com! It's just like my beloved iron, except BETTER! This model is a "step up" from mine, and I'm just a little jealous of you!
Ooooh! Green! Ahhhh! Comfort grip handle!

CSNstores is a parent site for hundreds of specialty stores. There are furniture stores, toy stores, kids bedding, housewares, home decor, luggage, SEWING MACHINES, school and office supplies... Seriously, an endless variety! They also have the cutest little sewing machine ornament that is going on my wishlist!

Want to win this fabulous new iron? Here's what you do. Leave a separate comment for each item, pretty please. Make sure your blogger profile is public, or include an email address so I can reach you if you win!

1. Comment on this post. Any comment is fine, but I'd love it if you'd tell me something funny!
2. Become a follower of this blog, or if you already are, let me know that you are!
3. Blog, Tweet, or post on Facebook with a link to this post.

The giveaway will be open until the afternoon of March 11. CSNstores will ship to a winner in the US or Canada only- sorry to my international readers, I'll have another giveaway soon! I'll post here when the giveaway closes, I'll contact the winner to get their info, and the iron will ship directly from csnstores! Easy peasy. Good luck!!!

  1. I would love to tell you something funny, but I am just not that creative. I pretty much despise ironing and avoid it at all cost, but maybe my problem is my iron, so maybe winning a new one would fix that?

  3. Ohh, so cool thank you! Humm something funny for you. We had our kitchen re-done about a yr ago when we moved. Part of the remodeling was to move the sink over 2 feet and trail the pipe along the wall. Well, some piece is missing from the drain so, the dish water I dumped started to flow out into the cabinet instead. I screamed for my son to give me some paper towels to block it, waters running out of the cabinet onto the floor, he's scrambling to get the towels. Grabs the whole roll, then

5 yr old: I got them!

Me: Oh, give them to me!

He tears off one (1) paper square and throws it in the over flowing puddle. Of course, that didn't work. I just said forget it and laughed. He was so proud to be helping.

  6. I would love to win this - my iron doesn't shut off automatically and it scares me that I'll forget one time.

Something funny? I put a new skirt on my almost three year old daughter right before shopping yesterday. I didn't realize the waist was a bit loose on her, until I looked over at her in the middle of an aisle to find it around her ankles - of course it was a busy aisle too!

  7. Oh man! I could definitely use a new iron. Mine is a little kooky sometimes . . . and for some inexplicable reason likes to shoot some weird powder out with the steam from time to time. Weird.

I have an almost 3 year old. I should have lots of funny stuff to share, but I'm drawing a blank here. I didn't get much sleep last night . . .

  11. I totally dropped my iron on my foot last week and it cracked! It gave me the idea to get and iron-print tattoo on my foot where my nice little injury is. ;) All that to say, I totally need a new one! *crosses fingers* (I'm a new follower btw!)

  19. Something funny....(Posted this week on my blog)
A couple nights ago I was sleeping (normal)...and had a conversation with my husband (not normal). He instigated the conversation once he realized that I was completely asleep. (Not the first time.) Yes, talking in my sleep...I insisted that I was "working on important stuff" while my computer was in sleep mode. (It makes me laugh thinking about it...) Then my husband said to put the computer down... I didn't like that and said, "I hope you choke on a verb". Ummmmm, what? Yes, a verb. I think I'll stop reviewing work material before bedtime. (I teach English as a Second Language.)

P.s...that threw my husband into a laughing fit which I would love to have seen. Well, I did see it...kind of...but I was sleeping.

  22. I tweeted about your giveaway and am following you (at least I think I am)

So, I could really use this iron. My husband has ruined the last 2 I've purchased. I didn't realize he had done it again until I was ironing a completed apron and there was an icky brown spot on it. Luckily it washed off but what part of "this is a sewing project only iron" didn't he get. He uses it for his work shirts and uses that spray on starch. Then the starch gets all over the iron and turns brown and burns on it. Ugh.

If I win you giveaway, I will be hiding this iron.

    Thanks!!

  24. Hmmm, a new iron, you say? I'll try to be funny! We headed to Orlando in less than three weeks to go to Disneyworld. Needless to say, my three year old son is beyond excited! At JiffyLube a couple of weeks ago, as he sat in the lobby eating his french fries, he said, "Mommy, is this Disney World?" Laughter all around and one woman said to tell him it was and he'd never ask to go again!

  27. Cool, got an iron last year but it's not very worthy, someone no names husband got from walmart. But it works is that funny?

  28. I could use a new iron, I refuse to buy a new one right now. I just bought mine less than a year ago and it leaks water from where the cord goes into the iron! So strange. I have bad luck with irons though, I think.
