~~~COMMENTS ARE CLOSED~~~
Thank you SO much for all your comments!!! I will be choosing and notifying the three winners tonight!!!I am SO excited to be participating in Sew, Mama, Sew's Giveaway Day!!! I won some nice gifties last time around so I am looking forward to sharing the love in this round.
I had a hard time deciding what to offer up for this. I decided to go through the stash and see what jumped out at me, and THREE separate bundles decided they wanted to be offered up! Three winners! Yay!
First we have a set of four black and white fat quarters.
Next, there are two coordinating fabrics, a half-yard of each. These are the same fabrics I used in Allison's First Day of School dress, and those dots are some of my all time favorites!
And finally, we have two half-yard pieces from Lila Tueller's Woodland Bloom line. I love these colors, and this fabric is SO soft!
To win, just comment on this post! I won't make you jump through any hoops, but if you're so inclined I'd love to know what you like to see in sewing blogs. My blog is not connected to a shop or anything, it's just for me to share my own little projects and cool things I see around the web. What would make this blog more interesting to you? What makes you decide to click that "Follow" button when you visit a blog? I'd be ever so happy if you'd follow my little corner of the blogosphere! Good luck and have fun visiting all the fabulous Giveaways today!
This giveaway will be open through December 6, and I'll post the winners here and e-mail them as well. Be sure to leave an email address so I can reach you! Winners will be chosen by the old fashioned names-in-a-hat method, or Random Number Generator if I don't have a willing name-drawer around when I close up the giveaway!
(Apologies for the poor pictures, I had a two year old "helping." Snowman, basket and peace sign not included!)
Count me in please!!! I love to see tutorials on blogs!!!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing tutorials and projects, and new ways to simplify things.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I love to see all kinds of things on sewing blogs - projects you've made, tutorials, tips to make things easier.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely giveaway..please count me in.
ReplyDeleteI think it is nice to see what other people are working on or hearing about a technique they have found useful.
I'd love to win. I guess I love to see inspiring projects and tutorials, when applicable. And beautiful site design is always a plus.
ReplyDeleteHi there, very nice stuff here! There are several things that incline me to follow a blog... if someone offers a fresh perspective, or simply writes well, that'll do it every time. Or, if there are photos of their projects, or good tips and tutorials, that will ensnare me, as well. I'm going to add you to my Google Reader, thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the wonderful giveaway. Such pretty fabrics. Can't wait to look around your blog some more.
ReplyDeleteI got to blogs to look for inspiration, but also for tutorials. Sometimes its just really nice to have someone walk you though the how-to steps!
Lovely prizes!! I really like easy to follow tutorials:) Thanks!
ReplyDeletechristinbanda at yahoo dot com
Thanks for the chance to win! As for what draws me in, slightly larger pictures that really show off your projects ... I know many blogs have small pics that can be clicked on to enlarge but I often don't take the time.
ReplyDeleteI love the inspiration I get out of sewing blogs - just blog what you make and what inspires you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great giveaway! I like quilt blogs that show projects and the frustrations that go with them so I know I am not alone. Tutorials are also great.
ReplyDeleteSimply lovely - thanks!
ReplyDeleteIn a blog I say I just like to see what others are doing or trying, maybe jump start an idea I been tossing around.
ReplyDeleteI like to see tutorials and plenty of inspiring work but what really gets me following is pictures, pictures and more pictures! I'm a visual girl! xx
ReplyDeleteI like the tutorials but I love seeing finished quilts with links to the fabric they used. I'm still not good at picking fabric patterns so I like to see what other people have put together.
ReplyDeleteI love to see lots of pictures of people's projects, both in progress and completed. I like to know something about the blogger's life beyond sewing. And I always appreciate a good sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteso pretty!
ReplyDeleteLovely fabrics! Well, I love applique posts and tutorials for easy sewing projects! Thanks for the giveaway, it is lovely!
ReplyDeletepatriciaconesa@gmail.com
i love tutorials and free patterns!!
ReplyDeleteWhat great giveaways, I just started sewing so I love reading pretty much anything
ReplyDeleteI love tutorials and patterns! I love the fabrics your giving away too. Thanks so much~
ReplyDeleteI love small projects... time is so limited!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway and I really like simplicity in blogs, esp. for giveaways! I will often subscribe to ones that I like in my Google Reader, but I don't want to bother with Twitter, Facebook, etc., etc. It just takes too much time out of the day! I love tutorials and just seeing what people are making for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThanks for lovely giveaway and for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day,
Simona
I love tutorials for dummies. All that intuitive stuff a sewer learns over time Spelled Out for newbies like me. :)
ReplyDeleteI like to see pictures of what people are making, tutorials are even better! Or link to cool tutorials!
ReplyDeleteI tend to click follow on people who have a style I admire and which inspires me. Also, interactivity always helps- tutorials, contests, sewalongs, reviews.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!
corvus.melloriATgmailDOTcom
A good photo with links to tutorials or books. Thanks for participating in the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteinclude me in drawing please. i like to see ideas,tutorial (as i'm not experiences quilter),some projects. sometimes just new ideas of colour combining can help to create something new. thank you for this giveaway
ReplyDeletehello there!
ReplyDeletethank you for the opportunity, i love you giveaway!
i talk and write a LOT so i don't resist in telling you what I like in a blog. Of course, tutorials are great, because i'm new at this. And then obviously the pictures of one's projects, because it's inspiring to see beautiful things. But what I really like is when someone's blog is a window to who they are, their life, what they like, how they live. am i too philosophical to think like this?
maybe it's just me. after all i chose my sewing machine based on the fact that it had the same name as my dear late grandma...
a kiss from Portugal and all the best!!!
I love seeing tutorials and tips and learning what goes into a project as well as seeing it once it's finished.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway. I love creative blogs with lots of fun ideas for fabric. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteNice Leigh....my favorite things to see as well is a great tutorial...as I am not a pattern person. Tutorials with lots of pics are extra awesome!
ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway! I love seeing what people have made (so inspiring!) and learning from tutorials.
ReplyDeletei'd like to see projects of others especially if they are clearly illustrated with pics and tutorials!
ReplyDeleteNice giveaway, thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI love to find neat ideas of simple things to sew and of course tutorials with pictures!
ReplyDeleteI like the tutorials I can get thruogh the internet best on a craft blog. I generally like humor in writing.
ReplyDeleteI like looking at projects people have completed and I also love to see tutorials. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeletecantbelieveimsewing@gmail.com
I like good grammar (I'm a nerd, I know), and doable but not too cutesy projects and tutorials. But I also love seeing totally amazing things that people make that I could never attempt!
ReplyDeleteI really love tutorials. And, honestly, it's always the good pictures of finished projects (even if there aren't tutorials) that draw me in. I have a craft blog and do not take great pictures, so I'm sure I lose out on readers myself.
ReplyDeleteGreat prizes! I like to peak in other people's sewing rooms. I like to see projects finished - and some of the process. Quick piecing tips, why colours were chosen, why the quilting motif. I like funny though. If you make me smile or laugh out loud I bookmark. I don't like the reader function.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite things to see on sewing blogs are the tutorials and clever tips/techniques the blogger has. They're always so helpful.
ReplyDeleteI like to see the tutorials on blogs. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI love to see tutorials. Also projects people are working on. Have a wonderful Christmas from one Wisconsinite to another :)
ReplyDeletesimply.simon.sisters(at)gmail(dot)com
OOh pick me pick me!! I love giveaways ;) LOL . *smooch*
ReplyDeleteI like blogs with tutorials and inspiration. lots of pictures of step by step instructions.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you photographed your items, surrounded by holiday cheer!
ReplyDeleteI like to see just what you described on sewing blogs ... ideas, inspiration, tutorials, crafty, easy, fun things that another sewist enjoys. I "steal" a lot of ideas and use them for my own gifts. Don't we all???
Have a merry Christmas!
butlerswife@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteCute fabrics!! Thanks for hosting the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWhat I love to see in sewing blogs are lots and lots of pictures! Pictures of fabric stash, projects, and sewing room/space organization (I'm always curious to see where other people sew) =)
Thank you so much for doing this giveaway! I like blogs that show their personality and if they have some nice projects and tutorials!! :D
ReplyDeleteI love learning from other's projects. I also love children's things.
ReplyDeleteCute fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI like to see simple &/or quick projects and easy to follow tutorials.
I like blogs that have pretty pictures, basically. I like to see inspiring color combinations and new project ideas.
ReplyDeleteone word: tutorials!
ReplyDeleteI am also a fan of tutorials, especially ones that are not a whole project but very good pictures of things no one ever teaches you but assumes you know. Example: I just learned yesterday that you don't have to use all 6 thread s of embroidery floss. I also learned that there are alternatives to the running stitch.
ReplyDeleteBecause so many of us (I think, anyway) missed out on the basic training all of our grandmothers got in terms of crafting (especially sewing), housekeeping, cooking, etc., these basics are so helpful!
I love seeing the brilliant things that people come up with .....like turning sweaters into little girl dresses, etc. I am always so inspired!! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeletekikisdeals@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteThose giveaway fabrics are great!
What a generous giveaway, I also love the Woodland Bloom line! As for what makes a blog follow-able to me, the ones who share what they make as well as some detail about how it came together. From tutorials to simple margine notes and pattern reviews, I love to hear about how things are made.
ReplyDeleteI love tutorials on a blog and I love ideas--lots of pictures!
ReplyDeleteYup, tutorials. Especially for scrap projects.
ReplyDeleteI like (like everyone else) tutorials. But I also would like to hear what you think of any books you buy or patterns you try.
ReplyDeleteWow! You are in the same boat as me. I won a few prizes last time around and decided I better participate this year. I'm not making anyone jump through hoops anyway, but encourage people to check out the blog. You should totally make a Facebook fanpage to show off your creations. It doesn't really matter if you aren't selling them. It's just another fun way to show people what you are up to. :)
ReplyDeleteI love to see pictures of what you have completed. It's great inspiration to start more projects of my own!
ReplyDeleteAnd tutorials are good, too, as I am rather new at all of this!
Thanks for the giveaway. I love reading a personal story to go with the craft. I like to know how the author came up with the idea.
I like seeing what projects people are working on, especially when someone shares a pattern they've come up with themselves or a quilt where they've used unusual color combinations that have turned out better than they ever imagined, or a shortcut to make something come out better or easier.
ReplyDeleteGreat give away, happy holidays!
